A magnificent and imposing ROLLS ROYCE 40/50 HP PHANTOM I SHOOTING BRAKE BY WEAVER/HOOPERS & CO finished in grey and black with a beautiful patinated brown leather interior along with matching brown carpets.Matching number car with chassis number 84FH and engine number SK95. The car was supplied in 1928 with a six light saloon body from Knibbs of Manchester. The current body was constructed during the war by Weavers coach builders at which time it was used to carry aircraft engineers, pilots and tools to stricken aircrafts. After the war it was acquired by Mrs Marble Topham of Aintree racecourse. In the last years the car has had a nut and bolt mechanical restoration without regard to expense. The engine is completely silent and runs with effortless power as it would have done when new. The engine rebuild is covered by a dossier of over 100 pictures detailing the works done on the car. There is seating available for 7 adults in the first tree rows and a couple of smaller in the back. The rear seats lift out and may be used as picnic seats outside the car. The car is in a magnificent condition with excellent mahogany woodwork. Factory building sheets and well documented history to go with the car.
